I’ve always felt my brain is equal parts right and left. I spent my childhood crocheting clothes for my dolls, writing poetry about animals, and begging for extra math homework. In high school, I took every Fashion elective possible while attending calculus and civil engineering camp.

At Arizona State University, I majored in Fiber Art with a focus on weaving, and double minored in Sustainability and Design. (And yes, I did take an underwater basket weaving class.) After interning in the Fashion Curatorial department at the Phoenix Art Museum, I went on to be hired as the 27th employee at Tuft & Needle.

As T&N’s Soft Goods Product Developer, I grew our product offering from zero to fourteen and counting. I am constantly chasing the satisfaction of seeing a new product through to fruition, and love the challenges that pop up along the way. While in Phoenix, I also taught a course on the globalization of the fashion industry at my alma mater.

In the summer of 2021, I relocated to Los Angeles to transition from home goods into fashion. I began as the production manager for the healthy clothes company Danu Organic and contemporary ready to wear brand STAUD.

Outside of work, I’ve continued my creative practice through weaving, hand spinning, visible mending, natural dyeing and knitting. I can often be found in front of my 8 harness floor loom, reading with a cat in my lap, or scouring my local thrift store for clothing to mend. My favorite things are the scent of the desert when it rains, talking about looms as the first computers, window seats on planes, and a really good piece of dark chocolate.
