After participating in a Slow Textile Retreat with Sasha Duerr and Katrina Rodabaugh, I began mending as a way to bring garments back to life, back into relevancy, and away from a landfill. This has shown itself in my own wardrobe, as I strive to minimize my fast fashion purchases as well as through my Etsy store, where I sell mended garments. Each of these pieces is sourced from thrift stores and secondhand shops, and hand mended in my studio, local coffee shops, or if I'm lucky, while sitting on the beach.
